Scholar alumna’s mobile startup keeps international students connected

Jefferson Scholar alumna Andie Kaplan, now a Forte Fellow at Wharton, noticed the challenges her international classmates faced when signing up for cell phone service in the U.S. Her interest in entrepreneurship inspired her to research the problem and ultimately led her to identify a solution.
In 2018, she launched ConnectEd, a startup that allows international students to sign up for month-to-month mobile plans.
