Maurie McInnis, JS '88, named president of Stony Brook University

Stony Brook University has announced that Maurie McInnis, JS ‘88, will become its sixth president beginning July 1. With more than 25 of years of experience in public research and academic institutions, including as vice provost for academic affairs at U.Va. and most recently as provost at University of Texas, Maurie will serve as chief executive for Stony Brook, overseeing Stony Brook Medicine, which includes five health sciences schools, three hospitals, and 120 community-based healthcare settings.
