Luke Williams, JS '18, discovers an unlikely connection between politics and dance

When Luke Williams, the Peggy and Henry Valentine Jefferson Scholar, entered U.Va. as a first year, he never expected a budding interest in politics would lead to a passion for dance. Luke recently shared with UVA Today how he discovered this unlikely connection, explaining that the act of dancing highlights the physical power of protest marches, the physical impact of police brutality, and the way that government policies affect individuals at a bodily level.
