Exploring the social histories of the pavilion gardens in U.Va.'s Academical Village

This summer, rising third-year Jefferson Scholar Sophia McCrimmon will partner Christian P.L. West, a doctoral student in the Curry School of Education and Human Development, to increase public understanding of how enslaved laborers and, later, black students at the University played an integral role in the history of U.Va.’s Academical Village.
