Two Jefferson Scholars receive Fulbrights to study abroad
The U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board recently announced the 2018-19 Fulbright recipients. Among the winners are two Jefferson Scholars who graduated from the University in May—Lena Schulhofer and Mary Grace Sheers.
The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
Lena, the Ralph James Quale Jr. Jefferson Scholar, will study and research violence and victimization from different theoretical perspectives at the American University in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Mary Grace, the Mary and Daniel Loughran Foundation Jefferson Scholar, will be an English teaching assistant in Thailand.
