Steven Lewis, JF '18, helps create music exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture

Steven Lewis, JF ‘18, played an instrumental role researching, writing and developing the content for “Musical Crossroads”, an exhibit that traces the history of African-American music from 1619 to the present day at the new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Lewis provided much of the research and writing for the exhibit, selected the featured music, and developed the timeline, which traces the emergence of more than 14 music genres over 400 years.
