Scholar alumna confirmed as Virginia's first Asian American federal judge

Jasmine Yoon, the Maryland Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 2003, was confirmed this week as Virginia’s first Asian American federal judge. Jasmine was recommended by U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, as well as President Biden, and was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee. She will serve the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
