UVA’s School of Law recently hosted the 13th Annual Law and Religion Roundtable, a two-day symposium designed to bring together an interdisciplinary group of scholars across multiple schools to discuss issues involving religious freedom.
Alyssa Penick, a postdoctoral fellow in the Foundation’s Center for the Study of the Age of Jefferson, was selected as one of this year’s participants. Alyssa presented a paper on the history of disestablishment in Virginia and Maryland as part of her forthcoming book, American Reformation: Church, State, and Law in the Revolutionary Chesapeake.
