Payvand Ahdout, JS '10, named inaugural Emerging Scholar of the Year by Yale Law Journal

Yale Law Journal recently named Payvand Ahdout, the Reginald S. and Julia W. Fleet Foundation Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 2010, its inaugural Emerging Scholar of the Year. In 2021, Payvand joined the faculty at U.Va.’s School of Law, where she continues to examine the federal judiciary and its relationship to other branches. The Emerging Scholar of the Year award was established to recognize the achievements of early-career academics who have made significant contributions to legal thought and scholarship.
