One year after graduation, Scholar alumnus receives Pulitzer Prize

After graduating from U.Va. last spring, Ben Tobin, the G. David Cheek Family Jefferson Scholar, headed for Louisville, Kentucky, where he began work as a breaking news reporter for the Louisville Courier Journal. Less than one year later, Ben has emerged as an award-winning journalist, having received the Pulitzer Prize for his work investigating former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin’s controversial pardons and commutations.
