Jefferson Scholars Foundation and U.Va.’s Darden School of Business work together to attract a global thought leader in health care and women’s leadership
The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is pleased to announce that Vivian Riefberg, a global thought leader in health care and women’s leadership, has joined U.Va.’s Darden School of Business as the David C. Walentas Jefferson Scholars Foundation Professor.
In 2012, the Foundation launched an initiative to endow a number of professorships for the University. These professorships represent an extension of the Foundation’s mission to serve the University by identifying, attracting, and nurturing individuals of extraordinary intellectual range and depth whose contributions and leadership will enhance the University community. To date, the Foundation has raised more than $80 million for this initiative.
Riefberg is the fourth holder of a professorship endowed by the Foundation to join the University’s faculty. She will teach in the full-time MBA and Executive MBA degree programs at Darden, as well as in Executive Education.
