Jefferson Scholar alumnus wins Schwarzman Scholarship to pursue graduate studies in China

Vilas Annavarapu, the Frank Batten Jefferson Scholar from the Class of 2020, is one of 150 students across the world to be named a Schwarzman Scholar. Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, the Schwarzman Scholarship was established in 2016, offering recipients the opportunity to pursue a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing, one of China’s most prestigious universities. Vilas emerged from a highly competitive pool of approximately 5,000 applicants.
