Fourth Year Jefferson Scholar selected to receive a Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Trust has announced the names of 32 American students selected to receive a Rhodes Scholarship. Among this year’s winners is Avital Balwit, the G. Bernard Hamilton Family Jefferson Scholar. As a Rhodes Scholar, Avital will receive the full cost of attendance for two years of graduate study at Oxford University. She was selected from a pool of 953 applicants based on her outstanding scholarly achievements, character, commitment to the common good, and for her leadership potential.
