Foundation has announced the names of 46 high school seniors selected to join the Jefferson and Walentas Scholars’ Class of 2028

The Class of 2028  includes 34 Jefferson Scholars and 12 Walentas Scholars. They come from 20 states and two countries and boast an impressive record inside and outside the classroom. They have held leadership positions in student government, on their local school boards, on athletic teams, in music and theatre, and many have founded organizations or held part-time jobs. In total, more than 1,000 UVA alumni and friends evaluated 2,422 nominations from high schools across the globe.
