Kyle Blum is an M.B.A. candidate at the Darden School of Business. Before attending business school, Kyle spent six years working for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) where for four years he served as head of DNR’s Uplands program, responsible for executive oversight of 3 million acres of forest and agricultural land, generating more than $200 million in annual revenue for schools, hospitals, fire districts, and other critical services in Washington State. In November of 2016, he became transition director to Hilary Franz, the newly elected Commissioner of Public Lands (head of DNR). He served as her Chief of Staff prior to attending Business School. A Seattle native, Kyle is an avid golfer and chess player, as well as a diehard Seattle sports fan. He holds a B.A. in history from Colgate University.
