Scholar alumna receives a Rotary Global Grant to pursue graduate studies abroad

Anna Cerf, the Peter and Crisler Quick Jefferson Scholar, was selected to receive a Rotary Global Grant Scholarship to study water resource engineering and management at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. Anna, who served as president of the Society of Women Engineers and was actively involved on the Engineering Student Council while at U.Va., received her degree in civil and environmental engineering in 2020. She remains focused on issues at the intersection of public health and environmental studies, and with the support of Rotary plans to research the transport and treatment of emerging contaminants for her master’s thesis.
