Mazzen Shalaby, JS '21, receives the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award

At U.Va.’s Valedictory Exercises last week, Mazzen Shalaby, the KBR Foundation Jefferson Scholar, received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. Given annually to two students from the graduating class, this award recognizes excellence of character and service to humanity. Mazzen has been an active member of the University community over the last four years, having served as the student representative of the Board of Visitors, president of the Muslim Student Association, a representative on Student Council, president of the Virginia Interfaith Coalition, and a tutor at Madison House.
