Gavin Garner, recipient of the 2012 Hartfield Teaching Prize, continues to inspire students
Three years after joining the faculty of U.Va.’s School of Engineering and Applied Science in 2009, Gavin Garner, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, was selected as one of just four recipients of the Foundation’s 2012 Hartfield Teaching Prize, an award designed to recognize engineering faculty for their outstanding classroom teaching and curriculum development.
