Foundation professor takes new approach to training next generation of historians

Since joining UVA’s Corcoran Department of History in 2019, Christa Dierksheide has made a name for herself, emerging as a formidable voice on the life and legacy of Thomas Jefferson, the Founding Era, and race and slavery. The Jefferson Scholars Foundation, in partnership with The Chronicle of Higher Education, shares how Dierksheide is embracing collaboration and innovation at UVA and is taking a new approach to training the next generation of Early Americanists.
