The University of Virginia’s Alumni Association announced yesterday that Jenifer Andrasko, the Macfarlane Family Jefferson Fellow, will serve as the organization’s next president and CEO. In this role, she will oversee the overall strategic, operational, and financial success of the Alumni Association, and will manage 75 full- and part-time employees, as well as more than 1,000 volunteers.
Jenifer emerged from a pool of 114 applicants across the country and was selected given her extensive corporate executive and management experience, as well as her leadership in the U.S. Navy. After serving for nearly 10 years as a P-3 pilot and mission commander and deploying twice in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, as well as participating in NATO missions in Kosovo, Jenifer returned to civilian life, receiving her M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business as a recipient of the Jefferson Fellowship. Upon graduation, she joined global consulting giant Bain & Co., where she headed one of the fastest-growing areas of the firm and helped found Bain’s Leadership Center of Expertise.
The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is delighted that Jenifer’s talents, commitment to service, and corporate leadership have been recognized by the Alumni Association and wish her continued success and the best of luck in her newly appointed role as president and CEO.
