The current Jefferson Scholars represent 49 endowed regions, including 6 students from the At-Large process.  They hail from 29 different states and 2 different countries and their pursuits while on Grounds are as diverse as their geographic distribution. 

Each and every Jefferson Scholar is unique; there is no “typical Scholar.”  They are linked together by a common commitment to being leaders, scholars and citizens and they are passionate about making their communities better places, each in his or her own way.  Jefferson Scholars are people of diverse interests and passions, with varying worldviews developed from different backgrounds.
